Mark Coleman
Pastor

Our pastor is a Florida native and grew up in Hollywood. He and Jeanine (his wife of 25 years) have two daughters, Grace (20) and Glory (8). After graduating from Georgia Tech and working at Florida Power and Light as an engineer he went to Mid-America Baptist Seminary in Memphis, Tennessee. In 1993 he became the founding pastor of New Life. He enjoys yearly mission trips to Tanzania, Africa, talking with Jeanine, telling stories to Glory, and working on a new song with Grace. He loves South Florida, especially fishing in the Florida Keys and Florida Bay.
Mark Schweitzer
Youth Pastor

Mark Schweitzer moved to Davie in January of 2004 to serve as the Youth Pastor of New Life Baptist Church. He became connected with New Life after completing an internship with the church in the summer of 2003. Having graduated from Boyce College in Louisville, Kentucky, in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies, Mark is at heart a Bible teacher. He is married to Kristin who faithfully serves with him in the youth ministry. They are the parents of Jonathan, Luke, and Matthias. In his spare time, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, reading, fishing, and sports.
Craig Shuff
Pastor of Worship and Administration

Kentucky-native Craig Shuff currently serves as New Life’s Pastor of Worship and Administration. He also provides leadership for The Well, the young adult ministry at New Life. Craig graduated from Boyce College in 2004 and received a Master of Arts in Worship in 2007 from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Prior to joining the staff at New Life, Craig has had opportunities to lead worship in many settings since 1998, including prayer events for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Crusade in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2000. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Danielle, and their daughters, Abigail and Elizabeth, reading, and following Cincinnati Reds baseball and University of Kentucky basketball. Clell Coleman
Elder
Clell Coleman served for 28 years as the associate pastor of our mother church, Sheridan Hills Baptist Church in Hollywood, Florida. He is a Georgia native but grew up in Miami. Clell went to Georgia Tech and worked as an engineer, eventually starting his own business. Not long after Coleman Industries was begun he answered the call to vocational ministry and became the director of Sheridan House Family Ministries. A few years later he joined the staff at Sheridan Hills. He and his wife Dee are the parents of our pastor.
John Rabe
Elder
John Rabe is a native of St. Louis, Missouri, and has been a member of New Life since 1999, where, in addition to being an elder, he teaches adult Sunday School and occasionally preaches. Married to Wendy, and the father of John Jr. and Leah, he works as a producer at Truth in Action Ministries (formerly Coral Ridge Ministries) in Ft. Lauderdale, and co-hosts the national television program Cross Examine. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry from Trinity International University, and before entering ministry worked as a sports talk radio host in Ft. Lauderdale, Las Vegas, and St. Louis. John enjoys spending time with his family, loves to read, and is a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
John Seale
Elder
John and Jeanie Seale have been members of New Life Baptist Church since February 1997. They have two married daughters and one granddaughter. The Seales have been missionaries for 25 years with The International Mission Board. They have served in Brazil and are currently serving as Logistics and Volunteers Supervisors in the Caribbean. Originally from Texas, John was a custom home builder and owned a hardware store. He is an Ordained Pastor and loves working with volunteers. At New Life, Jeanie enjoys working with women’s and children’s ministries. John and Jeanie both serve in the nursery and enjoy working with young couples.
